Following last year’s elections, FIFA made significant changes within the organization, including a completely revamped composition of its Referees Committee. Former World Cup Final referee Pierluigi Collina (Italy) was recently appointed as the new chairman of the FIFA Referees Committee. At this point, it is uncertain whether he will also continue with UEFA as Chief Refereeing Officer.
